Category 3 swimmers= This is the starting Catagory for non swimmers or those who fail the CAT 2 test.
Category 2 swimmers=Passed Category 2 test which is have to swim 50 m then tread water for 5 mins non stop (center of pool)Depth=3 m.After that have to jump from the diving board which is around 2.5 m from ground into the pool,3m deep.
Category 1 swimmers=Passed Category 1 test which is have to wear Coverall( look like those air con technician costume,dark blue and is a whole zip up costume)then have to swim 50 m then tread water 5 mins (center of pool)and then have to take out your coverall and make a float out of it.Upper body lie on the float and swim about 20 m to get up to the pool..Jump from diving board again with your coverall.
